Celebrating National PACE Month and the People Behind the Mission

National PACE Month is an opportunity to celebrate the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) and the difference PACE teams make in the lives of older adults and their families.

For Colorado PACE, it was also an opportunity to celebrate the people behind the mission.

The Colorado PACE team recently gathered for an all-team celebration that provided time to connect, reflect and recognize the important work team members do every day.

Building Resilience Together

A highlight of the gathering was a presentation by Marisol Solarte-Erlacher, an award-winning trauma expert, licensed psychotherapist, keynote speaker and resilience consultant.

With more than 20 years of experience at the intersection of mental health, leadership development and equity, Marisol helps individuals and organizations heal, lead and thrive. Her approach to resilience and sustainable workplace cultures provided the Colorado PACE team with an opportunity to consider how we can support ourselves and one another while continuing to serve others.

In work centered on caring for older adults, taking time to reflect and recharge is important. Strong teams are built not only through shared goals, but through connection, trust, resilience and a commitment to supporting one another.

A Day to Connect and Celebrate

The gathering wasn't all reflection and learning. The day also included prizes and a very cool Colorado PACE-themed “snack bag,” adding some fun to the celebration.

Best of all, participants joined in the fun, thanking the Colorado PACE staff for the work they do.

The day gave team members a chance to step away from their daily responsibilities, spend time together and celebrate the accomplishments of the Colorado PACE team.

Celebrating the PACE Mission

Every day, Colorado PACE team members work together to help Colorado seniors remain healthy, safe and living in their own homes.

That mission takes a dedicated team — including healthcare professionals, care coordinators, support staff, drivers and many others who work together to provide comprehensive support to participants.

National PACE Month gives us a chance to recognize the value of that work and to say thank you to the people who make it possible.

We are grateful for the Colorado PACE team and the compassion, expertise, resilience and dedication they bring to their work every day.

Happy National PACE Month!
