At the heart of healthcare lies a commitment to community.
For Care Synergy and its Affiliates, that commitment extends far beyond the care provided to patients and families. It means investing in the communities we serve, creating opportunities for the next generation and helping build a stronger future for Colorado.
For the past 10 years, Care Synergy has had the privilege of doing just that through a longstanding partnership with Arrupe Jesuit High School in Denver.
Known as “The School That Works,” Arrupe Jesuit provides students with a unique educational model that combines classroom learning with real-world work experience. Since 2016, Arrupe Jesuit students have worked in support roles throughout Care Synergy and its Affiliates, becoming valued members of our teams while gaining valuable professional experience.
But this is more than a traditional internship program.
Arrupe Jesuit requires all students to participate in a work-study program, with their earnings helping pay for their high school education. Through Care Synergy’s partnership, Care Synergy pays the cost of each participating student’s tuition, creating an opportunity for students to pursue their education while gaining meaningful experience in a professional environment.
The impact of that opportunity is significant. More than 80% of Arrupe Jesuit students are the first in their families to graduate from high school.
For Care Synergy, the partnership is also an investment in the future of healthcare.
“Workforce challenges are real across the healthcare industry,” said Tricia Ford, Care Synergy CEO Elect and COO. “At Care Synergy, we have an intern scholarship program with Arrupe which gives us the opportunity to introduce students to meaningful careers, build relationships over time, and develop future employees who already understand our culture and expectations.”
Over the years, Arrupe Jesuit students have brought their energy, curiosity and talents to Care Synergy and its Affiliates. In return, they have had the opportunity to learn about healthcare, develop workplace skills and see firsthand the many ways professionals can make a difference in the lives of others.
As the 2026-27 school year begins, Care Synergy is proud to celebrate 10 years of partnership with Arrupe Jesuit High School. What began as an opportunity to support students has grown into a lasting relationship that benefits students, employees and the communities we serve.
“We have partnered for over 10 years with Arrupe, and will continue to partner to develop the next generation of professionals for years to come,” Ford said.
A decade later, the partnership remains a powerful reminder that caring for our communities means more than providing healthcare. It means opening doors, creating opportunities and investing in the people who will shape Colorado’s future.
