Handmade Quilts Honor the Service of Our Veteran Patients

At Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care, we believe every veteran deserves to be recognized and thanked for their service. Thanks to the generosity of our community, we are able to make those moments of recognition even more meaningful.

We are incredibly grateful to Quilts for New Beginnings for donating four beautiful handmade quilts that will be presented to veteran patients receiving our care. Each quilt is a unique work of art, thoughtfully crafted with time, skill, and compassion. More than a warm blanket, these quilts serve as a heartfelt expression of gratitude and appreciation for the sacrifices our veterans have made in service to our country.

As part of our We Honor Veterans program, Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care recognizes veterans through special pinning ceremonies and other meaningful tributes that acknowledge their military service and personal stories. The presentation of a handmade quilt adds another deeply personal touch, offering comfort while reminding each veteran that their service has not been forgotten.
