Care Synergy Welcomes Dr. Nancy Hernandez as Vice President of Education
Experienced healthcare leader and educator joins Care Synergy to strengthen enterprise education, workforce development, and clinical excellence initiatives
Care Synergy has announced the hiring of Dr. Nancy Hernandez as the organization’s new Vice President of Education. Dr. Hernandez officially joins Care Synergy on May 18, bringing extensive healthcare leadership experience and expertise in clinical education, nursing leadership, workforce development, and healthcare innovation.
In her new role, Dr. Hernandez will oversee enterprise education strategies and professional development initiatives designed to support clinical excellence and operational success across Care Synergy and its Affiliate organizations serving communities throughout Colorado’s Front Range.
Dr. Hernandez brings a diverse healthcare background that includes leadership experience across critical care, emergency medicine, neurology, cardiac care, medical-surgical nursing, and home care. She is widely recognized for her collaborative leadership style, data-driven approach to education and quality improvement, and commitment to empowering healthcare professionals through ongoing learning and mentorship.
Throughout her career, Dr. Hernandez has led cross-functional teams, developed innovative educational programs, and implemented technology-driven learning solutions to improve patient care and staff engagement. Her expertise includes instructional design, leadership development, project management, learning management systems, and Lean Sigma methodologies focused on quality and operational improvement.
Among her notable accomplishments, Dr. Hernandez helped develop and implement clinical artificial intelligence tools that significantly reduced sepsis mortality rates while decreasing hospital length of stay.

Dr. Hernandez earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Capella University, graduating with distinction and a 4.0 GPA. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Binghamton University.
